An Offering Prayer
Dear heavenly Father, it has been a privilege to do some think-ing on Christian giving. You are a great and powerful God. You have given me everything I am and everything I ever hope to be. Father, help me be a sacrificial giver and to accent the percentage more than the dollar figure. Help me do this despite any feelings of my sinful flesh to the contrary. I want to be a good giver, a happy giver, and I want to love bringing my gifts to You. I want to honor You not just with my living but also with my giving. Help me now to make my commitment with joy and help me to fulfill it. Thank You, Father. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

A Candle Coos “Love”
How appropriate.  Jesus’ first experience of the world was the gentle touch of a mother’s love.  “She wrapped him,” the Bible says—not something done in haste.  Our Lord was lovingly doted over and then not tossed . . . but laid in a manger.  How appropriate.  The Lord of love’s first earthly experience was . . . love itself.  May we love him as much.

"A Candle Shouts “Rejoice”
Did the angel laugh?  Did he chuckle the line, “Do not be afraid” – incredulous that such a response were possible from a ragtag group of shepherds?  This is GOOD news, after all!  News of greatest JOY!  “Fear not is an option,” the angel guffawed.  “Your Savior is at hand!” Join in the angelic mirth!  God is coming!  Hooray!
