Thank the Lord

   This year we offer two opportunities for Thanksgiving Eve Worship.  We have both a service at 11:00 a.m. and the evening service at 7:00.  Both services will be the same with a focus on “How to Eat Thanksgiving Dinner.”

 

Thanksgiving--Continuous

   Thanksgiving must be continuous. A regular contribution to the church is a personal manner of religious thanksgiving because we act by faith, acknowledge God's generosity, and enliven our interest in the Giver of all gifts.

   We can realize more deeply the active presence of God and His goodness when we are continually thankful in our daily lives.

Calling All Reporters

   We remind all our members that tomorrow is our deadline for the December newsletter.  This is our opportunity to share information and promote participation.

Off to Babylon

   We invite all to join us for Bible Adventures.  We meet in the sanctuary following our morning fellowship.  Today Pastor will provide a presentation on the account of Daniel in the Lion’s Den from Daniel 6.  Next Sunday we investigate the events of Esther from the Book of Esther.

Hungry?

   After our spiritual feast on Wednesday evening in worship we will have some physical refreshment.  We invite members to bring a dessert that we might enjoy a time of fellowship following our service.

Planning for 2010
     We hold our annual congregational meeting on Sunday, December 6 at 10:45.  We will hold election of our new officers and review the proposed budget.

Altar Flowers – In praise and thanksgiving to God the chancel flowers are given by Joe and Marion Flory.  They remember loved ones from their family who now enjoy the blessings of heaven with Jesus.  We thank them for their gift.

Looking Like Christmas

   We will hold our church decorating on Saturday morning, December 5 at 10:00 a.m.  All are welcome to take part.  Following work we will enjoy a light lunch.

   Today we welcome three new members officially to our midst.  Lou Basham, Patty Basham, and Lynn Bahde completed Pastor’s Bible Basics class and now become members to work with us in God’s kingdom.
