Stewardship Thought

Stewardship is a way of life. It is a fully Christ—oriented life. Christ must share in every phase of our existence.

In the true spirit of stewardship, we find a great joy in sharing with God. Our return of Time, Talent and Treasure is an external demonstration of our faith, love and devotion.

Love gives, and if you have never experienced the happiness and satisfaction of really sharing your life with Christ, you must try it and find rich blessings waiting.

Trinity Sunday

The early festivals of the Christian Church are all commemorations of persons or events, either in the life of Christ or the life of the church.  Not until later were festivals instituted in honor of doctrines of the church.  One of the earliest, and the one that has remained the most important, is the Festival of Holy Trinity.  This festival was observed as early as the mid 900’s.  Early on there was discussion of whether the church should observe such a festival since every day the teaching of the Holy Trinity was to be acclaimed.  By 1332 the order went out throughout the church that this festival was to be observed annually on this day.

The Festival of Holy Trinity marks the end of the Church Year’s first half.  The festivals of the first half commemorate past historic events.  This festival differs radically in that it is an expression of a great doctrine.  It is an expression of the church’s adoring worship of God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
