Examining Priorities
All of us need to be about the difficult business of examining and reordering our priorities. If we find that we spend more money on personal pleasures such as eating out in restaurants, or alcohol, or movies than we put in the offering each Sunday, we need to change our habits.
God doesn't want us to put Him last on our list of priorities, or even third or second. He expects to be first, and He expects us to demonstrate that commitment to Him “not only with our lips, but in our lives.
He demands a great deal from us, we might think, but then He has a right to. He requires much of us because He has given much to us, even His own Son, who died in order that we might have life, abundantly and for all eternity.
Is any gift of our love too great to make in response to that Gift of His love?

Take a Trip
Today in our Bible Adventures, Pastor shares a presentation on each of the twelve disciples. He will share information on name, background, character, traditions, and their symbols. Next Sunday we look closely at the Transfiguration of Jesus as recorded in Luke 9:28-36.

Help for Haiti
Over the last two weeks we received gifts to support the efforts of our church body for Haitian emergency care. Special gifts to-taled $800.00. This has been sent to provide relief. We thank our members for their generosity.

We are sponsoring an ingathering of NEW underwear – child, men’s, women’s. If you are shopping and see some great sales in children’s underwear, please purchase a package. Our Pacific Southwest zone is sponsoring it. 100% cotton is best but they will take anything new.
Prayer Requests
Beginning next Sunday we welcome prayer requests as you ar-rive. You are invited to fill in a slip of paper with the information. These will be given to Pastor just prior to the service so that we can include these requests as part of our worship service.
Rummage Sale
Dates have been determined for the Rummage Sale. We will hold it on June 4-5. This will be for smaller items (excluding appli-ances and furniture). Please start saving your treasures.
